I am quitting this blogging. The reason I started it was to bring back the confidence in the cules, and to try to help them to get out of the so called "crisis" we are in. It seems everything is going right now, and I really didn't play a single part in it. It was all about our team and how they took the club out of the "crisis" with such impressive wins and moreover, a winning a winning attitude.

Moreover, my dear friend "@neymarred" of twitter has started blogging at neymarred.hubpages.com . I know he's a champion and certainly way better than me so I suppose I don't need to continue this blogging. I thank everyone for viewing my blogs. Mascherano deserved the FIFA World XI spot....

A big surprise at the Ballon d'or ceremony was the addition of David Luiz in the FIFA FIFPro XI, but a much greater shock was Mascherano not getting a spot in the back four. You guys will be thinking I am a Barcelona Fan and so I am making it such an issue or others may think Godin or any other player deserved the spot. First of all, I would like to make it clear that absolutely everyone thinks David Luiz was certainly not the right person because his first half of the year with Chelsea was no where near excellent and he was not even consistent in there first eleven. After that, his World Cup was terrible as well, specially the 7-1 thrashing of Brazil by Germany in which Luiz had a big hand. At last, his season with PSG wasn't a special one either so I suggest this shows how weak FIFA is.

Now, we'll come to why Mascherano deserved a spot in there. First and foremost of all there were only three defenders on the 23 man shortlist for the FIFA Ballon d'or, these were Phillip Lahm, Javier Mascherano and Sergio Ramos. Hence, this automatically suggests what a great year he had. Well, there's more to come of the Ballon d'or results which saw Lahm coming 6th with 2.90 % of votes, and Sergio Ramos coming the last, 23rd with 0.33% votes. Mascherano was 19th with 0.55% votes, and I do think he deserved better. Well, anyway this clearly shows what a great year he had.

Mascherano also overwhelmingly received the Barcelona's Player of the Year Award, ahead of Messi. That is a really big achievement, specially as you are competing against Messi. Well, most people know Messi deserved it more, but the Messi level is so high that it is very difficult for anyone to compete with him hence, Barcelona gave the award to Mascherano, who also had an amazing year. This decision escaped controversy because it is not a very important award and I am sure Messi would be more than happy to see the award go to Mascherano. 

At Last, I must mention about the great World Cup Mascherano had. Although all the praise went to Messi but Mascherano was a very vital player for the whole campaign. He protected the back line with full commitment and managed to save Argentina's defence that compromised of a back four of  Garay, Demichelis, Rojo and Zabaleta and Romero in goal. His last minute tackle on Robben must be mentioned as well that lead Argentina to winning on the penalties for a place in the final. Hence, I am in great astonishment about this decision of FIFA and hope that in future, the results of these FIFA awards would be much better.

Messi is not leaving Barcelona!

Messi had a chat with the media yesterday and much to the delight of all Barcelona fans he announced he is not leaving Barcelona as for some days reports were coming that he wants to join Chelsea or Manchester City. He also denied the reports about him having a rift with the manager, Luis Enrique by saying he is in good terms with the manager. I personally am very happy as my last articled stressed on the need to support Lucho and now am sure he will be receiving much more support after the ultimatum thing is totally denied.

Messi said, "  I have no intention of leaving Barcelona. I'm tired of hearing things about me. They say I run the club when I am just another player. I never asked to have anyone fired. It hurts because it came from people here, the people who say they know what Barcelona is. I heard stories that my father was talking to Manchester City and Chelsea, they're all lies."

Luis Enrique is the Right Man!

Most of the fans want Lucho sacked but I say Let's Talk. Is he really responsible for all the bad things happening to our football team on the pitch? Sometimes, I see people blaming him even more than Bartomeu, Rossel and Zubizarretta. Is he really to be blamed? What I think is that the only thing you can blame him on, is because of his inconsistency in the line up or his bad relation with Messi, as different reports suggest. 

We are not a team who changes their manager every single season? We have had 4 different managers in the last 4 seasons. That is not what Barcelona is all about. I personally believe he is the right man for the job and he can lead us to a golden period. But to achieve anything like this, every manager needs time. Just take the example of Sir Alex Ferguson, who many people believe is the best ever manager, but in his early years he was on the verge of getting sacked until the bad time ended for him and now everyone knows what a great period he had with Manchester United.

Don't u see the positives that Lucho brought to our squad? I'll tell you one of the best thing he did to the club. He made us better with the set pieces. Last season, we were so bad with the set pieces, in defending and attacking both senses, but this season, we have defended set-pieces brilliantly and we have even scored some by Pique and Neymar as well.

Another great contribution of him was to convince Xavi to stay who has played exceptionally well this season, although many people doubted he was no more that young Xavi. I am sure if Xavi wasn't with us, our situation would have been even worse. Enrique is not a new person with the Barca system as he has played for Bracelona plus he has managed our B side and he earned them third placed in the Segunda Division. Isn't it an incredible achievement. The Braca B side plays the system the same as the our first team. So he's a proven manager of our style.

We are not out of any competition yet. We are thriving in the Copa Del Rey, have topped our Champions League group and as I mentioned in another blog our bad form in the league isn't all the team's fault. And those fans who think Lucho should be sacked because he doesn't like Messi or isn't treating him in the right way then I must tell you that no manager in the world would do that because everyone knows that if you don't respect Messi then you are not a part of this Bracelona world so why would anyone want to do that? It is really pathetic of someone to think like that.

Well, I do hope he learns from his mistakes and finds a consistent eleven. All I want my dear cules to do is to have some patience and belief in Lucho. Hence, I raise my voice in support of Lucho and I believe that you will make it louder. However, I respect every opinion and know there are still many who think he should be immediately sacked. Well, for them I would just like to ask who will you bring in as the replacement? Pep has already insisted he is not coming and Koeman has also dismissed the thing. I really don't see any better person.
We are Barcelona and we support our club as we own it, and we really do own it.

An Important Game Against Atletico .......

My Dear Cules, we have a really important game to play today. It is FC Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou. This game is really special for us as it will be an interesting game concerning the fate of Luis Enrique. Atletico Madrid are still a really great side, as you can see with there record against Real Madrid this season where they have won three and drew one game out of the four games played between both sides so far.

The game in itself is very important to keep the League hopes alive for both the teams. Pressure will be on Enrique and Barca because we are playing at home and moreover, of the loss in the previous game against Real Sociedad. Atletico on the other hand would be satisfied with a draw away from home. I believe the game would be no different from what we saw in the 6 fixtures last season from which 5 were a draw and 1 win for Atletico. 

It will be a 90 minutes of struggle for Barca players to find an inch of space between the crowded Atletico 9 men defence and Torres up front like a hyena who would be fed with long balls out of the Atletico half, eyeing for a counter attack, where Griezman makes quick runs to support on the right specially. We need to be attentive with Dani Alves, who I suppose will play at the right back position today. I think Bartra should play at Right Central Defence because his work ethic can be great in stopping Griezman.

I believe we really need some luck along with 90 minutes of passionate football to win. As the circumstances stand, I believe we can do it! Enrique must and will do it! It would be a great Victory!
